The Head of Upper School assumes particular responsibility for the teaching and learning, and overall well-being and social development of pupils in Years 3 – 6. It plays a pivotal role in preparing children for the 11+ examinations to senior school, and ensuring that the pupils are ready for all aspects of secondary school life. The Head of Upper School works closely with the Head of Lower School and teachers to ensure a smooth transition, both social and academic, into the next phase of the School. The Head of Upper School is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and works closely with the Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher to promote excellence in the quality of the education provided, as well as to sustain and enhance the standing of the school.
