At Wandsworth Prep, we understand that happy, resilient and confident children will make excellent progress in their lives, emotionally and academically. Building strong relationships with parents, based on robust and clear communication will have the potential to provide one of the best learning environments for our pupils, ensuring they feel cared for, safe and listened to.
Schools dedicated to exceedingly high standards of pastoral care will pinpoint this as the centre of their operations. Pastoral care is reflected in everyday aspects of school life, from the school ethos to personal development, to the environment in which they learn.
The main point of contact for their children and their parents is Wandsworth Prep, their form teachers, who form strong bonds with their classes and each pupil. Once pupils reach Year 6, they are assigned as a mentor as a part of our buddy system, where they will look after a reception child and aid them in settling into their new school alongside thier teachers.
The school provides extra provision for the parents of Wandsworth Prep. Children can stay at school in stay-and-play until 18:00. Children can also partake in breakfast club from 7:30 am and extra-curricular activities after school until 17:30.
