During the final term of Reception the children have learnt all about the city of London through the project of Paddington Bear. To celebrate all of the wonderful learning in a fun and interactive way, they invited their families into the forest to take part in a Forest School Showcase – ‘The London Games’
Parents had the opportunity to work together as a team to follow a map, find clues and reveal a famous London landmark. It was a wonderful team building exercise full of collaboration and a fantastic opportunity for parents to get a glimpse of what our Forest School provision looks like here at WPS!
A big thank you to our Forest School extraordinaire Miss Katie for organising the afternoon and Miss Zola who knows her way around Wimbledon Common like the back of her hand! Well done to all our families for getting stuck in – to say you are a competitive bunch would be an understatement!
We had a fantastic time together and for the children, it was another enriching learning opportunity to happen outside of the classroom – just what we like!
