Last week our technology lead from Bellevue Education came to the school to run a variety of different fun and interactive sessions for the children and parents.
Year 2 and 3 children did supermarket circuits. Using simple bananas and a circuit kit from Makey Makey the children learnt about conductive materials and objects and made music via the Makey Makey website while tapping their bananas and tin foil to make sounds and a beat.
Later in the day, years 4 to 6 got to play with a Sphero coding robot. They used the programme to code instructions to make the robot move across the room, helping them explore their creativity, coding skills, and inventiveness.
The children also had an e-safety workshops where Adam talked about keeping safe online. Later in the day, parents were invited to an e-safety talk and the teachers were given some training on AI.
