Wandsworth Preparatory School, a Bellevue school in London, has appointed its new head Laura Nike, who joined the school in September 2022.
Laura was previously Head of Prep at the Old Palace School based in Croydon, also playing an integral part in setting up the Oasis Academy in Putney. Laura has impressed the Bellevue team at every step in the process with her skills, experience and educational vision, including her commitment to high-quality, academically rigorous teaching and learning.
Laura comments on her new appointment: ‘Wandsworth Preparatory School has impressed me from the beginning, with their dedication to providing a supportive yet challenging learning environment. The strong sense of shared values within the school community allows the children here to thrive with confidence in an academic setting. I am excited to meet with parents, pupils and the Wandsworth community over the coming months.’
Bellevue Education Director David Williams comments: ‘I am excited to have appointed Laura as the new head at Wandsworth Prep. Laura was a brilliant candidate for the role, with her extensive knowledge of the area and an understanding of preparing pupils for the next stage in their educational journey.
Laura will succeed Jo Fife, who has served as headteacher at Wandsworth Prep for over two years.
